Our God is Powerful...

Look to the cross...

For God so loved the world...

Which way do I go Lord?

Pray for one another...

Is there value in attending church?

Is there value in attending church?

Absolutely.  At least once a week I need to go. Not out of a sense of duty or obligation but because it's just another place where I can meet with God and His people.

For me, it's a place where I can connect with other people who I care about and who care about me. God calls us to love and support one another and meeting at God's house together is one way to do that.

Personally, I enjoy worshipping God and it is what he wants. It's another opportunity for me to spend time with my Lord in prayer and song. And not by myself in my home, but alongside my brothers and sisters in the Lord. "Where two or more are gathered together", says He, "I am there".

Good christian music helps me feel closer to the Lord and helps me to be more in tune with His desires. Not only is the music good, but the words have meaning.  Not just the popular songs but the old hymns as well. If you really listen to the words, there are stories to be shared from just a few verses.

The pastor always shares and I always learn something. It's amazing to me how I can hear a passage a hundred times and then someone will share with me a different viewpoint and wow, another piece of the puzzle.

What are your reasons for going to church? Chime in and tell us what you think!
